Judi Snelling, Broker Associate

Judi is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She moved to Ridgway, Colorado in 1995. In Florida, Judi was the owner and director of Master Schools (proprietary post secondary vocational hospitality schools) in South Florida from 1979-1995. She was also a licensed real estate broker in Florida from 1984 -1995.

As her background was in Hospitality Management, training & consulting her first business venture in Ridgway and Ouray County, was to develop, design and operate a popular hospitality business, the White Horse (a western “Cheer's” style tavern). She sold that business to go into Real Estate full time.  

In 1998, Judi became a Broker Associate in Colorado and acquired her Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) National Real Estate designation in 2004. She has enjoyed the opportunity to continue providing a customer based service, while showing clients “why we live in Ouray County & the Western Slope of Colorado”. With the ever changing Real Estate market on the Western Slope, Judi has a complete knowledge of all aspects from residential to land (small & large) to commercial real estate. However, she specializes in being an Accredited Buyer's Representative “ABR” in both residential, commercial & investment properties for her clients. Judi has been actively involved in local, regional & state boards and committees involved in community development since she moved to Ridgway 1995. She was a founding member of the Ouray County Voyager after school program. She has written three successful grant proposals for the local school and library districts. Judi served as Ridgway School-to-Career Partnership coordinator (business and education collaboration initiative), and was chairperson of the Accountability Committee for the Ridgway School District . She was appointed by former Governor Roy Romer to serve on the Colorado State Region V School to Career Council and by the Ouray County Board of Commissioners to represent Ouray County on the Region 10 Work Force Board, which she currently serves on. Judi, also, served as chairperson of the Youth Council for six counties under the Work Force Investment Act, and currently serves on the Colorado Rural Consortium Work Force Board at the state level representing Region 10 (6 counties).

Judi has a B.A. degree from the University of Miami, Florida and has completed graduate level credit at both FIorida International University, Miami, Florida and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado .

She currently owns a home in Dallas Meadows, just outside of Ridgway. Her interests include coordinating community events, horseback riding, hiking & walking & 4-x-4ing in the mountains and traveling throughout the beautiful South Western states whenever possible. Her son, Nick, graduated Johnson & Wales University-Denver 2007 with an AS in Culinary Arts.
